Welcome to the Octopus Marquee Independent Film Festival.

Mission Statement of the

OCTOPUS MARQUEE

INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL

- Create an avenue for abstract films and unique filmmakers to be highlighted

- To prove that Auteurs exist at the independent level and to give them a spotlight for their hard work and bravery to express their unique voice

- Create a warm environment to personally be approachable to counteract the cold environment of film festivals that predominantly use lifeless form letters

- Attempt to be more of a community of oddballs and weirdos as opposed to a singular yearly event

- Battle the Squids that tell us to conform and not make unique art- Emotionally support and promote the artists in our community when we can

- Something something something I wanted to have 8 to fit the theme

- Have fun with art house cinema and our goofy friends
